Hey Sora, thanks for the kind words! As far as I know you should avoid being out of Portugal for six months consecutively, or eight months non-consecutively in any one year (in order to maintain your D7 residency rights).

On a D7 visa with temporary residency, I find it confusing to know how long you have to stay in the country each year. I know that no more than 90 consecutive days in other Schengen countries is the limit, but what’s the total annual limit not to exceed in Schengen or otherwise? I thought it was four months….
