Hi Paul, unfortunately a property plus six weeks per year in-country isn’t enough to make you a resident. My understanding is that you’d need to apply for a residency visa, such as the D7 passive income visa (which you could use your pension for).

I retire next year and have all the documents to get the Brexit Resident biometric card apart from the CRUE. Can I go to the town hall and get one as the documents show I had a NIF, property, bank and paid bills here before the withdrawal agreement or have I missed the boat and will need to go for another type of visa. Thanks
